伊朗电影大师阿巴斯基亚罗斯塔米曾在生命中最后的两年时光里四度前往中国，筹备剧情长片。在杭州，他结识了保洁员吴虞惠，并将镜头对准她，开始了《杭州之恋》的创作。《与阿巴斯·基亚罗斯塔米同行》展现了阿巴斯在杭州筹备《杭州之恋》的过程。本片联结当事人的采访，并逐步走进阿巴斯过往的电影、摄影、诗歌、装置作品，通过对其创作轨迹的回顾，带领观众知悉电影大师观察世界的方式、体悟大师创作背后的智慧、揭开大师遗作的神秘面纱，还原一部“真正”的《杭州之恋》。

This is a documentary in memory of our great master of cinema. “A person can influence us through his absence", though passed away, his words still ring in our ears. In the last two years of his life, Iranian master film-maker Abbas Kiarostami traveled to China four times to prepare for his feature film. In Hangzhou, he met Wu Yuhui, a cleaner, and aimed his camera at her, starting the creation of Hangzhou Love. Driving Mr. Abbas Kiarostami (working title) shows the process of Abbas preparing for Hangzhou Love in Hangzhou. This documentary connects the interviews with various participants, gradually stepping into Abbas's past films, photography, poetry, and installation works. Through reviewing his track of creation, this documentary is to lead the audiences to understand the way Mr. Abbas observes the world and to comprehend the wisdom behind his creation, as well as to unveil this master film-maker’s unfinished film and to restore a "real" Hangzhou Love. Absent as he is, Mr. Abbas will still influence us with the world in his eyes...
